THE CLOCK TICKS

“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work”  - John 9:4 Thomas Edison wrote, “Time is not a commodity that can be stored for future use. It must be invested hour-by-hour, or else it is gone forever.” You can’t hold back the hand of the clock. It is always ticking away, whether you are playing, sleeping, working or chatting. What you achieve before you die will reveal how you used your time. James Albery wrote about a procrastinator: He slept beneath the
moon// He basked beneath the sun// He lived a life of going to do// And died with nothing done. The clock ticks for the young and the old. Do quickly what you have to do or you lose your chance. When will you read your books? When will you give up that bad habit? When will you give your life to Christ and serve God? The clock ticks!

Challenge: Duties delayed are the devil’s delight. Prayer: My God, help me to use my time well today. Quote: Do quickly what you have to do Futher Reading: Psalm 90:4 - 12.
